Having a pet in a downtown high-rise can be fun and challenging. Savina’s 5th-floor Pet Retreat offers you a convenient place for your dog to go. However, when dogs urinate anywhere other than on the Pet Retreat’s artificial turf, it can cause real problems. We’ve encountered dogs jumping into the decorative planters instead of using artificial turf. Dog urine, especially from multiple animals, can saturate the soil and kill plants costing your association thousands of dollars. In addition, when taking your pets outside, please help us by ensuring they don’t urinate on the side of our building, as it’s forcing us to repaint outside areas faster than expected, which also impacts your dues. Section 6.6 of the Savina Residential Handbook outlines your responsibility as a pet owner.
