Manager’s Message

GENERAL MANAGER LEAVE OF ABSENCE

We would like to inform residents that our General Manager, Jabbear, is currently on a leave of absence.

In the meantime, please direct any questions, concerns, or matters that would typically be handled by the General Manager to our Regional Director, Kim Nguyen, at knguyen@actionlife.com.  An onsite coverage schedule has been e-blasted to the membership.

Thank you for your understanding and continued cooperation as we work to ensure a seamless transition and maintain effective operations throughout this period.

CARPET EXTRACTION CLEANING NOTICE: OCT. 6TH – NOV. 6TH

To keep our common areas looking their best, PTC (Personal Touch Cleaning) will be performing carpet extraction cleaning at Savina starting Monday, October 6th through Thursday, November 6th.

This work will take place Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Please note that no carpet extraction will be done inside individual units—this project is limited to the common areas only.

Cleaning will begin on the 36th floor and proceed downward.

A detailed schedule will be shared through email reminders, posted on the community bulletin board, and included in the resident newsletter for your convenience.

OUTGOING RETURN PACKAGES UPDATE

In the past, carrier drivers were doing us a courtesy by picking up return packages that were not scheduled in advance.

However, they have recently updated their protocol, and moving forward, all return packages must be scheduled directly with the carrier (such as Amazon, FedEx, UPS, etc.) to ensure collection.

If a return is not scheduled, drivers may decline to take the package unless it is handed to them directly by a staff member.

To help ensure your packages are picked up and processed promptly, please begin scheduling pick-ups directly with the carrier while continuing to drop them off as usual.

When a scheduled pick-up is in place, the driver will scan your return before leaving our ACO office, and you should receive a confirmation email promptly—rather than experiencing delays where returns are collected but not scanned until the end of the day.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to keep the process seamless and efficient for everyone!

As a precautionary measure, the residential gate will remain closed for the duration of the event on Saturday to ensure building and resident security.

Residents and guests are encouraged to plan accordingly, allow extra travel time, and consider alternate routes or public transportation when traveling to and from the property during this time.

MANAGEMENT UPDATE

We would like to take a moment to recognize and celebrate Armando, our Assistant General Manager, for all that he has done for Savina over the past six years, as his last day was Friday, September 26, 2025.

We are grateful for the time, energy, and heart Armando has poured into Savina.

His dedication, hard work, and genuine care for our community have made a lasting impact, and he will truly be missed by both residents and staff.

As we wish him the very best in his next chapter, we also want to ensure a smooth transition for our residents.

We kindly ask that any emails that would have been sent to Armando now to be directed to Jabbear, General Manager, at jswinton@actionlife.com, and all move or delivery

inquiries be sent to Jules, our Resident Services Coordinator, at jorozco@actionlife.com.

Please join us in thanking Armando for his years of service and wishing him every success in his new chapter.

NOTES FROM THE BOARD

  • Budget Season – We’re in the middle of preparing the Association’s annual budget. The Board will meet in November to review and approve it, keeping things on track to distribute the final version to owners around the same time as last year.
  • Schedule Change – Because of scheduling conflicts, we will not be holding an Open Session in October. Our next meeting will take place as scheduled in November.
  • Fitness Equipment – After reviewing the Reserve Study’s recommendations, the Board has decided to defer any decisions about replacing cardio equipment until later in 2026. This gives us more time to plan carefully while continuing to monitor both usage and market options.
  • Landscaping – The new palms and trees are now in place, bringing a fresh look to the property. We’re also pleased to share that a new landscape/arborist will be joining us starting November 1 to help ensure our grounds continue to thrive.
  • Construction Defect Litigation – Work remains on schedule. Testing is actively underway around the building, and we’ll continue to keep you informed as the process moves forward.
  • Extended Deadline – The Board has decided to extend the deadline for submitting applications to run in the upcoming Board election. With this extension, candidates now have additional time to participate in the process. As a result, the Annual Meeting will be rescheduled and held in January.

BELL AND FLAT CART COURTESY REMINDER

We have noticed that sometimes flat and bell carts are staying inside units for a little longer than intended.

These carts are provided by the HOA for everyone to use, and they work best when they are shared and returned the same day.

This helps make sure there is always one available whenever someone needs it.

To help keep things running smoothly, we kindly ask that residents check out only one bell cart at a time.

If you do need more, returning at least half promptly is a great way to make sure there is always one ready for others.

Thank you so much for helping us keep these carts available for everyone!

PROPER CAT LITTER DISPOSAL GUIDELINES

To keep our building clean, functional, and comfortable for everyone, please follow these simple steps when disposing of cat litter and other pet waste:

Collect the waste properly
Scoop used cat litter and place it into a sturdy plastic bag. Avoid using paper bags, as they can leak and cause sanitation issues.

Seal the bag securely
Tie the plastic bag tightly to prevent odors and spills while transporting it.

Take it directly to the trash room
Bring the sealed bag to the P1 trash room and place it directly into the bins provided.

Do not use the trash chute
Cat litter must never be sent down the chute, as it can clog the compactor, cause costly breakdowns, and make janitorial work significantly more difficult and time-consuming.

By following these steps, you help protect our building’s equipment, reduce extra maintenance costs, and ensure a cleaner, healthier living environment for all residents and staff.

PALM TREE REPLACEMENT NOTICE – SEPTEMBER 22–30

Please be advised that from September 22 through September 30, work will begin on the replacement of five deteriorated palm trees on the 5th floor pool deck area.

During this time, construction activity will affect the jacuzzi and cabana areas, which will be off-limits for resident use.

Additionally, access to the pool will be limitedresidents may only use the northwest (NW) side of the pool until the project is completed.

Please note, dates are tentative and subject to change depending on the progress of the work.

Management appreciates your patience and cooperation as we work to enhance the pool deck environment for everyone’s enjoyment.

WI-FI REPAIR(S) SCHEDULED SEPTEMBER 22 –30

Management is aware of the ongoing internet connectivity issues throughout Savina, and we understand how frustrating this has been.

We have scheduled necessary Wi-Fi repairs and upgrades to improve service quality for everyone.

Repairs are set for September 22 – September 30.

During the duration of the repair period, September 23 – September 30, Wi-Fi will be spotty in all amenity areas, including:

  • Lobby
  • Social Lounge
  • Business Lounge
  • Garage
  • Gym
  • Pool Deck
  • BBQ Area

Please also note that during these repairs the Peloton bike in the gym will not be available for use, as it is an internet-based machine.

All gym equipment that is not internet based will not be affected and be available for use as normal.

As we receive updates from the service technicians, we will continue to share timely progress reports and notify you of any changes.

Thank you for your cooperation as we work to provide a stronger and more dependable Wi-Fi experience for all residents.
